Cyber Safety Awareness
The awareness team from the Crime Prevention Office conducted an awareness on the 10th of November 2017 from 9am to 11am, at the Kawenu Sports Field. This awareness was requested to the Crime Prevention Office by the Just Play Program manager Mrs Melly David from the Vanuatu Football Federation. The program’s main target is to educate children through sports (football) in Living a healthy lifestyle that is free from diseases and free from criminal activities.
As stated the participants involved are primary students from 6 primary schools around Port Vila and from two other Villages in Efate; The schools and villages involved are Fokona Primary School, Ecole Saint Joseph, Eratap Primary School, Erakor Primary School, Vila North primary School and Melemat Primary School.
Present at the event were also partners from organisations as Shefa Education Office, Shefa Health Department and the Crime Prevention officers.
Police presentations during that event were based on Cyber Safety Crime, Respect, Reporting Offences, Assaults, Theft, and Abusive Language. The team also handed over Cyber Safety Promotional materials to the children.
The CPO team consisted of Corporal Grenly KENDER, Constable Jeff NATAPEI, Constable Indianna MENES, Constable Auldrine LOWONBU and Constable Marie NATUAMAN.
This event brought together a total of 60 plus participants (Teachers and Students).

9th Police Commissioner
Albert Nalpini was recently appointed the 9th Police Commissioner of the Republic of Vanuatu on the 4th day of May 2017. He had served previously as Force Senior Legal Officer after graduating from the University of the South Pacific with a Diploma in Prosecutions, Bachelor of Laws and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice.

In any natural disaster - for example cyclone, tsunami, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption causing damage or landslide - refer to the National Disaster Management Office website. Always follow the instructions of the Vanuatu Police Force who may be assisting in the management of the disaster.

Crime Prevention Awareness at Anamburu School
The Crime Prevention office, which involves, Cpl Rayndol Ala, Cpl Grenly Kender and Sgt Philip Shem participated in an awareness presentation to the students of Ecole de Anamburu on the 09th of August 2017 at 12: 30pm. This program convened through a request from the school principal targeting the students from year 6 to year 8.
Crime Prvention Awareness at Low Risk centre
Crime Prevention Unit awareness team led by Corporal Rayndol ALA, conducted an awareness talk at the Prison House (Low Risk Centre), Stade area – Port Vila. This program convened on the 17th August 2017, 9am. The topics presented were on Break In, Criminal Trespass, Unlawful entry, Theft and Damage to Property, including Respect.
Good Governance Workshop
The crime prevention Unit was part of a Good Governance Concepts and importance of Adaptive Leadership in an organization of Community workshop. The workshop convened at Coconut Palms Resort and was organized by Woman against Crime and Corruption (WACC).It was facilitated by Dr.Adrina Thomas.

Opening of Renovated Vila Police Station Front Desk
Minister of Internal Affairs, Alfred Maoh, Australian Chargée d'affaires, Susan Ryle and Police Commissioner, Albert Nalpini, officially opened the new Port Vila Police Station reception on Monday 14 August which was funded by the Australian Government.
This new reception area will enhance the professionalism of the Vanuatu Police Force Officers and help them better deliver policing services to the people of Vanuatu. Officers at the new front desk will be able to directly enter incidents into the new Police Information Management System.
Vanuatu Emergency & Disaster Preparedness Vocational Training
The Vanuatu Police Force with other stakeholders a very fortunate to be part of a training that is sponsored by the Rotary District 9675 NSW Australia. The training is on Vanuatu Emergency and Disaster Preparedness and it will be for a period of two weeks.
